Delivering Basingstoke Gateway
Welcome to our public consultation on Basingstoke Gateway.
As we move towards delivery, we are engaging with the local community about our plans. This includes how Basingstoke Gateway can support local jobs and skills, community partnerships, landscaping, biodiversity, and how we can keep local people informed as the project progresses. We also want to hear your views on a small amendment to our proposals on Plot 1.

Logistics need in Basingstoke
The site offers excellent connectivity to key freight infrastructure, including Heathrow Airport and the Port of Southampton within a 45‑minute drive, while providing strong access to a workforce of around 493,000 working-age people within a 30-minute catchment.
Both the Council and the Appeal Inspector have confirmed this as the right location to meet the borough’s identified warehouse and distribution needs, backed by the Council’s own evidence base, Local Plan and appeal process.
