A Community Forum at the heart of delivery

As Basingstoke Gateway moves into construction, we want local people to stay informed, involved and able to shape how the scheme is delivered. To do that, we are establishing a Community Forum that will run throughout the construction period. This will give residents, businesses and local representatives a regular, direct route to engage with the project.

The Community Forum will:

  • Meet at key points throughout construction to share progress and answer questions
  • Provide updates on construction traffic, routing and working hours
  • Share opportunities for local jobs, apprenticeships and supply chain involvement as they arise
  • Give residents and businesses a clear, named point of contact for any concerns
  • Bring together local representatives, parish councillors and community groups alongside the Newlands team

We’d like to hear from you — would you like to take part? Let us know in our feedback form.

How construction will be managed

A detailed Construction Management Plan setting out how traffic, deliveries and on-site activity are organised day-to-day

Routing strategies that prioritise the strategic road network and limit impact on local roads

Controls on working hours, noise, dust and disturbance, with regular monitoring throughout

A named project contact and dedicated channels for questions or concerns between Forum meetings

Staying connected

We will keep the Forum running throughout construction, share regular updates and maintain our partnerships with local organisations, making sure the project stays connected to the community it serves.
